March in North Carolina can be a fickle thing. One day it’s raining cats and dogs, the next day it’s sunny and bright. If our North Carolina weather was human it would definitely have multiple personality disorder. Nicole and Jeromy picked the perfect day for their nuptials, and despite four days of rain prior to their big day, Mother Nature woke up in a great mood and showered their Brakefield at Riverwalk wedding with sunshine and warmth. (Although I do believe a great deal of that sunshine came directly from Nicole who was absolutely radiant the entire day.) When you add up the fantastic spring weather, the most adorable ring bearers and flower girls, a gorgeous bride and an amazing bridal party, you have all the makings for a memorable day. Perhaps the most memorable moment for us may have been the garter toss. Or more precisely, the hunt for the garter. If you know Jeromy, you know he’s quite the humorist, and when he knelt in front of Nicole he proceeded to retrieve a package of Lance crackers and a giant bottle of hand cream from beneath Nicole’s gown before finally revealing the garter. I for one was in stitches!!!! The evening ended with a silver streamer send-off that was simply spectacular. To Nicole and Jeromy, we wish you a lifetime of happiness and hope that sunshine and laughter follow you everywhere you go.
