Kate and Josh

It happens. Even on wedding days. Rain. Luckily for us, Kate and Josh brought sunshine literally everywhere they went. Their Duke Mansion wedding was meticulously  planned by the incredible Dina Blazek, who shares our love for gorgeous details and Chicago style hot dogs. From the stunning wedding cake, to the flower arrangements, table markers, and rose petal exit, each and every little detail helped create an event the lovely Duke Mansion isn’t likely to see for a long time. Kate and Josh were surrounded by their families which happened to include some of the loveliest ring bearers you’ve ever seen. The father of the bride, also happens to be the leader of Smitty Flynn and the Rivieras, one of Charlotte’s preeminent wedding bands, and they got the party kicked into overdrive from the very first chord. Smitty took a break from playing, long enough to dance with his daughter, and what started out as a traditional father-daughter dance, turned into dance-a-thon that covered styles from the Mashed Potato to the Twist and everything in between.  To top it all off, the rain precluded the bicycle get-away that was planned but who says you can’t ride a bike in Duke Mansion? Yeah, it was that kind of wedding.
